Sussex Autistic Community Trust

Children's Services

We are pleased to announce that we now offer services for children with Autism Spectrum Conditions in East and West Sussex

The services we provide

We have recently been awarded a new contract and funding from West Sussex County Council and NHS West Sussex to provide the following services under the Aiming High for Disabled Children Programme:

  • Short Breaks
  • Sitting Services
  • Individualised support to help children and young people to access various activities in the community
  • Weekend and After School Clubs

We are providing these services initially in the Worthing, Arun and Chichester area, extending to Horsham early in 2010. Similar services are also offered in East Sussex.

We are always very interested to hear the views of the children we support and their families to help us continually review, improve and develop both our existing and new services in line with what people want. To give us your views us about services, please contact enquiries@sact.org.uk, or 01424 77 33 66.

The way we work

With more than 15 years experience in this field, we can work with you to provide a responsive and positive service for children and young people with complex needs.
To make sure we have the skills needed to work effectively, all staff receive regular supervision and attend extensive training, covering topics such as Autism Focus, Communication, Behaviour Support, Sensory Issues and Positive Interventions.

Services are planned in a person centred way; we will work closely with you and your child, fully involving you in the planning and regular reviews of the support provided.
